today was my first trip out...had to find a smaller lake and discovered 7-8 inches of solid ice. went out and had a blast with my 9 year old son. crappies were cooperating until about 7 pm....after the fifth "i'm bored" i calmy packed up the sled...asked him to pull it in while i carried the auger. we made it to the truck packed it all in came home and made sandwiches. he is now in bed fast asleep an hour after getting off the lake....
i love ice fishing!
