Humminbird helix on a vexlar pro or ultra pack

Anyone on here try mounting a helix on a vexlar pro or ultra pack?

I have not, but assume you are discussing the Helix 5.  I upgraded to a Helix 7 last season and had trouble finding a good way to mount it.  I've heard you can mount the Helix 5 to both Vexilars, but I decided to use the Lowrance Universal Portable Pack (see link below) and the Helix 5 fit pretty well.  I sold the pieces I didn't need. 

I decided to go with Humminbirds own shuttle for the Helix 7 (does fit snug though).  I have an extra base if you can find the top arms for it and a way to mount it....

I was leaning towards the 5 due to budget and it will be used on my float tube during open water season and i think the 7 would be a little big and in the way. Where did you hear that the 5 to both of the vexilar stands cause I am having zero success in finding that info.

I remember seeing the Hummingbird mod to Ultra or Pro case somewhere too...it may be too small to fit inside the Vexilar soft case ...but Trophy Angler makes a soft case that's a little more roomier … this is what I found

you can fit the 5 on it for sure.....you can also then use the Trophy Angler round base electronics bag - works awesome
