Drove across the causeway Thursday (12/31) and saw folks fishing on both sides but I haven't fished it yet. The most recent DNR report states the ice is unsafe. I believe that came out last Wednesday 12/30.

Had a friend go out there yesterday afternoon.  4 inches of good ice with2 inches of crust on top.
Still need to watch where your going or follow someone elses tracks

Did your friend that went to McBride yesterday happen to catch any fish ? I was out there yesterday.  I big 23" hog is all i got.
