Mount Pleasant area

Hi all,

     I may be heading to Mount Pleasant sometime in December.  Can anyone help me out with some possible ice fishing spots in the area?  I'm from Ohio and have no clue about fishing in Iowa.  Any info is greatly appreciated.

Lake Darling, Big Hallow, and Belvedere aren't that far away - good ice fishing at all 3

lake geode in the corner of the county is a great lake for panfish.   there is a pond at the ball diamonds but i'm not sure there is great fish in it. its a city park and who knows if people ice fish it.

Is the renovation done on Geode? Haven't heard anything since they drained it

Geode isnt quite done yet. They are estimating the restoration project will be complete by spring of 2020.
