Lake Manitou
« on: Jan 12, 2024, 12:15 PM »
We used to ice fish lake Manitou in Rochester a lot when I was younger but haven’t in some time. I was driving around, trying to find a place to park and nothings the same as I remember, it’s all built up with new houses. I was wondering if anyone has ice fished Manitou recently and maybe know where to park other than the public access?

Few years back I found a parking spot for what looked like a kayak launch on the center north end of the lake, it was in front of a bridge

Yes, I think we’ve parked there before that’s directly east of the Goose pond, but it’s a long walk over.

We always fished the goose pond, and would always see a ton of people ice fishing. Problem now is I don’t know how you get out there without walking across the lake? You guys remember Casey’s gas station right behind there was a channel wasn’t bad early!
