Hit Chase Lake for 1 1/2 hours this afternoon.  Had 4 poles out but only one hole produced a bite or fish.  1 small largemouth and 2 small perch.  Not the most productive day but not much time on the ice either.  The Marcum battery died on the ice and it was amazing how blind I felt going back to the old school way.

Winchester lake: 6 inches solid ice, 2" white ice. Measured.

Bad perch day only three over 8" rest back in the hole good trout day whe they came through got three over 14". Lots of folks on the ice. Hearing the shreeks when the pressure cracks started after the sun got high was pretty funny.

Fished Kelso Lake yesterday afternoon. 8 to 9 inches of good ice. Used tip-ups for trout. They were biting very soft, hard to hook.

took a trip down to Boise this weekend. Went to CJ Strike on Saturday, wow! They sure have it good down there! Even though the perch are on the small side. Took home 104 in two hours fishing with three guys! Best day i have ever had on the ice.

Winchester, fishing was horrible, has been slow last 3 days, everyone off the ice early.

I know this is North Idaho ice section but there is no eastern Washington forum, Spraque lake had guys on it Friday afternoon at the eastern launch, I'm probably heading that way this week.

Was out at Sprague a few weeks ago with no luck ice was around 7". Buddy has been out several times but has only managed a few fish in the 17" range.

Hit Round, Kelso and Cocalalla on Saturday. The best ice by far was at Kelso with about 10" of super dark solid ice. Sketchy ice at Cocalalla.

Headed up to Killarney for a little night pike here in a few minutes and will report back.

It was great to meet the great Blue Duck; Ice fishing royalty right there.

Tight lines, and fast spinners....

Fished Black yesterday  a few fish, but not many perch and then went to Cave today.  2 flags, a few perch, probably the slowest day of the season thus far.

Yes,       He started this thread the day after Christmas, 6 years ago.           ;)2

He is that right kind of guy !    Saw me with a dull mora on Round Lake and asked where I wanted my holes ~ that Stingray rocks !    Thanks again, M.

I have yet come up with a way to get even with him for that kind deed.    ;D

Hm, Glen's Outdoors has a new Genz pack with 12 degree ice-ducer for $379.99 no tax & free shipping.    So, I would guess that's a good deal. Deduct for the less features it has.         ;)2

The guys are right Blueduck! You are truly always willing to help. Last year Blueduck showed me the proper way to set up a tip-up and gave me some great pointers...

There must be a bajillion 2-3" perch in Avondale!  Went out on Monday and caught two fair bass, one keeper perch and the rest were ridiculously small.  Not one bluegill or crappie to be seen.

Went out on Lower Twin this morning.  Lots of perch, but they were mostly on the small side. The biggest were 9" .

I fished Fernan on Tuesday from 10:30 -2:00 bite was light.  Parked at the last turnout.  Started in the middle and worked across.  Only managed one bow.  Had many light bites but nothing else on the ice.  Ice is a good solid 8 inches.  Tight lines.

I heard there is a good bite on Spirit Shiml but nothing about the ice.  What do you use to catch kokanees through the ice?
