My dad caught it, it was like 11.5" lol.  Never thought it would win anything but with the fishing being so poor it always pays to enter everything.  We had 6 flags all day, caught 3 fish total and all out of the same hole.

We had a group of 5 fishing the derby. We together caught over 30 LT. Biggest one was 21" and chunky. We were all on ATV's.  On the way in the slush holes had loosened up. Took us 3 hrs. to get back to the firehouse but they were closed up. Needless to say we had a great day fishing, but I would have liked to see a pic of that winning LT at 31" and 11lbs. The ECO that stopped to visit with us said he had never heard of a Lake Trout that big coming out of Raquette Lake!

Any update on ice thickness, snow/slush conditions. Thinking about trying to access some deeper water this weekend on the sleds. Thanks in advance.

Fished yesterday and today had a blast. Caught a bunch of short lakers. Action jigging and jackers. Any keeper trout in this lake?

Not many. During the tournament if you catch a legal one you are in the running to win the derby

we spend a week on raquette in the spring,we usually troll up around 100 or more lakers and we may see 1 or 2 legal fish.
