There was 2 inches of junk ice on top of 6 to 7 inches of black ice yesterday and by looking at the extended forecast, cloudy and highs in the upper 30s to low 40s suggest that the ice should hold until then. Crayfish2 and I were looking to get out there one more time on Saturday as well. The shorelines were beginning to open up while we were there yesterday, but the sun was playing a big factor in that. Bring a plank! The only thing that could possibly threaten the ice would be high winds on Friday.  Maybe we'll see you out there!
Perch bait- a small minnow that can have big results in the ice fishing game.  :icefish:
