Beautiful fish, Missoula. Could you please tell me what basic ewuipment did you use (rod, line type, and lure)? I fish mostly in NY and NJ, but the last 5 years used only small jigs for pan fish. This year I want to try balancers (hard bait).

We had our earliest ice fishing ever November 19, up near Flaxville on a deer hunting trip. We caught 15 fatty rainbows in a couple of hours between five of us. We even put some tipups out on Whitetail Reservoir and caught some pike, maybe 5 lbs! That's about a month earlier than I have ever been able to hit the ice before. Ice was probably 7 inches thick.

had to go back and try my luck, second fish of the day

came in like a pack of wolves.

what a day think the fishing gods where watching over me today. the bummer is I lost 3 fish that gave me a heart pumping rush never did see them. topped the day off with some perch no pics sorry.
