Garmin Panoptix
« on: Jan 16, 2018, 08:55 AM »
Is anybody using the Garmin Panoptix for ice fishing? I've been seeing more and more videos of guys using them, and curious if anybody has any experience with it. The theory behind it looks interesting, but wondering if it is actually practical. Also who is a dealer for garmin fishing products around regina?

That'd be a tough sell for me with a base price of $2000 for the unit and transducer.

id buy it. game changer if it works how it's said to work. should be illegal. you'd be pretty damn successful at derbies that allow electronics if you could get out early, drill one hole and cover 100 ft in all directions to find fish. wouldn't take long to cover area to find fish, and set up right on top of them.

It looks awesome. I don't think i could swallow the $2000 bill tho. I didn't realize it was that big of a price tag

I would like  to  see  100'  demonstrated?

What is cone  angle....

If your   on  a drop-off  how  does  the unit  handle  dead zone?

My  boat  is over-due for  new  electronics....

IF this unit  can indeed  scan  100 feet  in front of your  boat  it  would  come  in handy in  reef  infested  lakes  I  frequent.  100' would  give  you  time  to  kill  motor and trim up.
