Painted or Not?

Hey Guys,

Looking for a little help, I was wondering if anyone has noticed a differance in painted or unpainted minnow traps? The traps that I am talking about are the center hing style, you can get them a walmart, for like $12 or something. They come in an un-finished and in a black plastic coating. I've been told that I will catch more bait with an unpainted one. Any help would be great.

if you could get a neon green go for it- it attracts plankton and all those little critters that the shiners feed on (try hanging the bait cyclinder 5 feet off the bottom or 5 feet below the surface)
