so when's the ice come'n?

Any body have idea's about when we might see ice in Indiana this year?
Just curious to see what you guys think.

Usually about a week before Christmas, just hope it stays when it comes on. I think those years when we get ice for a week then it leaves for 2 or 3 weeks wrecks the fishin. Just my 2 cents worth.

it does seem like that it has been that way for the last few years.  last year we got that heavy snow when the ice was only 4" thick...ruined it for me for a couple of weeks...but that never happens at the "hole" ???

BELIEVE ME RICO,WHEN WE GET A INCH AROUND HERE ME AND THE KID ARE USUALLY ON WHILE EVERYBODY ELSE WATCHES FROM THE ROAD,FIRST ON AND THE LAST ONE OFF............. ;D

Rico, I am up for a road trip. Just let me know when you get ice. I used to go up "North" all of the time when my Uncle was living. He lived just south of Kendalville. Big bluegills, crappie, perch and an occasional bass was pulled up through the hole. Makes my blood boil just thinking about it.

I was on the ice Dec 23rd last year...id love to have an early arctic freeze this season with no more than 3 inches of snow on top...im still dreaming   :)

i cant wait for ice. Got to beat the 38 inch pike i got last year, and the 21 inch bass. I hope this winter ice lasts us until may

I think I will be fishing somewhere around the 23rd of December on a solid 2 or 2 1/2 inches of ice.

I am ready for the hardwater.
