Slow Bite
« on: Feb 22, 2014, 01:34 PM »
Was a slow light bite this morning only a couple of keeper crappie, enough to take second place in a contest amongst friends. Was really surprised at how tight the lake was next to nothing for slush, regrouping and taking my x son in law and his gal pal in the morning. Anybody else having a good weekend?

Not me. Dealing with some pretty nasty winds here in NY, so I didn't fish today. :( Last weekend, I was there for a friend whose mom passed. Hopefully, I can get out for the first time in 2 weeks tomorrow.

The Wife and I limited out on gills fishing 10:30 until 2:00 Today. School bus Wolfram 3mm epoxy jigs did the brunt of the damage. The wind made it hard to detect bites they were light bites. Anyways I wish you luck tomorrow~!

Got 29 keeper gills tonight between 3 of us for 3 hours fishing. Caught a lot of little ones, the bite was real light.

Got 4 keeper gills 71/2"-81/2" for 3 hours this morning, 1 rock bass and about a 11"-12" large mouth. Could get them to follow it up and down just would not spark. Wind kicked up about 11:00AM and turned off what little bite that we had.

thanks for the reports anyways, I spent the day on the couch and it wasn't  so great.
But don't quote me on that. I have a drinking problem, I keep running out of beer. I've always been a little bit crazy, but its kept me from going insane.

Spent 5 hours in the wind. Lots of small gills, no keepers. I agree, way better than the couch!
