How much ice there I love big bay, this year was my first year fishing it. I love the quality of the fish huge sunnies ,gillies and slab crappies. The only thing I don't like is the big bay shuffle, you can't let anybody see you catch a fish or they move right in on you :%$#!:. Another thing that ticks me off is my brother in law dropped his rod case w/ 2 rods and about 7 yrs worth of tackle. He dropped it on his way in and it was only sitting on the ice for a few minutes before he relized he dropped it, needless to say some scummer picked it up and took it home :%$#!:. Why can't people be more honest about stuff like that, it almost made him give up this year.

Mustad - Where's 'short bay'? I've fished Oneida for years and never heard of it. Nice job on the perch by the way!

I hit Gander Mtn on my way there... I know there's a bait shop on Rt 49 east of Constantia.  I don't know the name of it but there's a sign that's easy to see.  It's on the lake side of Rt 49.  I don't know about the Sylvan Beach area or the south side of the lake.

Unless they JUST changed...Gander opens their baitshop at 0600.  I was there last week.  6 - 9am you can use the direct access door to the baitshop.
