Slow afternoon on "the bay" .....two keeper perch, 7 decent gills and one 9.5" crappie.....enough for supper. Hope things get better soon.

Well I got my Pike fix in yesterday. Watching tip downs for three hours is so much fun. Even more fun when you never get a flag.  You know it's bad when Donny at the bait shop tells you to go to Honeoye!

All I've been finding are dinks no matter what time of the day... the most active water I have found is 8-14 FOW I have been out to 30, they seem to far and few between in the deep however the only ones I see out there are bigger ones, couldn't get them to bite but more power too yah if you can! :P

Pretty slow day yesterday (1-21-15), 6 keepers and a dozen dinks off the south side of newark island.. Nothing on tip-ups and all action on jiggin.. With that said, guess we gotta jig a lil different something, fished all depths..
-on the other hand, if the person who told me my flag was up on our tip up, thanks bro!! You were drivin a UTV and draggin a clam, we looked at each other and said, we need that.. Haha

Man those perch have some fat stomachs. Willing to bet those bellies are full of small gobies. All of the perch i have been catching in the bays have had them in it.

Hey guys what's the story with taking wheelers on the ice ? I see lots of people taking them out and half of them don't have helmets...is it illegal to ride onto the ice without s helmet ? This seems kinda ambiguous

Thats what i own. Basic as you can get. Target separation isn't the best but it gets the job done when it's all said and done.

That's what I have as well....it works very well, in fact I wouldn't fish without it. I doesn't have zoom but if you keep the bottom line in center bottom of screen very accurate and just love seeing those fish coming up to my jig.
Proper setup hard to beat. Had it over 10 years , never failed me yet.

Totally agree with you chief and john....my 8 read the deep water on owasco for lakers when my buddies 12 & 18 werent reading that deep. I bought it as a reconditioned about 12 years ago so maybe they added a little extra juice. But i have never been destroyed by my buddies with the bottom zoom so why pay?

12 out of 13 were females with eggs, one had a baby blue gill in its stomach. i was using my aqua-vu and my hummingbird ice 35, it was cool watching the perch on the camera and then switching over to the flasher and watching the line come off the bottom!

11 inches of ice at south of Eagle Island with a little  snow on top on Thursday at noon. By now should be snow covered  since they had snow starting at 3:30PM on Thursday and maybe more since then. No melting but blowing might produce some bare spots.
