I think this thread has been fun and refreshing compared to all the other people complaining or just asking where there is ice and where are the fish biting.... These Boyz got on here and said what they were going to do and got it done... I hope the BBC keeps it going for a long time....

I don't feel stupid....I am dissappointed with the lack of bling around their necks in their pictures though. ;D

Oh don't worry we're pretty gangster, the bling was under the jacket. We have more pics but I'm not the camera guy so the other guys can throw up the better ones. The trout was a rainbow one of the other guys has a great picture with the whole "rainbow" thing going on. Didn't know about the Pharrel thing i guess we're not as original as we think.

For all you fellas jonesing for an update on how the BBC has beeng doing:
the BBC managed to get out with our diamond studded boots and real emeralds in our emerald shiners to Schroon Lake this past weekend and wrangled in a couple of lake trout measuring 18" and 21". Aside from our initial failure at Piseco we have yet to be skunked this year. Impressive, I know....
Now to answer the question that is surely on all of your minds: YES! We will be offering training courses next winter. At the end of which, although you won't be a bonafide member of the BBC, you will be among the elite few that has met and trained with these elite (there is no other word to describe them) fishermen in the rigors of ice fishing.
To our fans out there: thank you, your support is very comforting at night when we have trouble sleeping.
To the haters out there: if you're ever on the ice competing with the BBC (we'll be those guys hootin' and hollerin' while hauling in record breaking fish while you sit and wonder why you haven't caught anything in weeks). Good luck, you'll need it.

If I lived in that part of the state I'd probably try and catch up with these guys and fish I bet it would be a good time. We're some gangsta pre-teens actually, self made billionaires if you must know. We're bringing ice-fishing to the fore-front of pop culture baby. I just got off the phone with MTV, we're setting up MTV cribs ice shanty edition (if you have a nice one let me know i'll send them your way). Since Roy so selflessly volunteered I also went ahead and set up a program for underprivileged teenagers with him as the point man so contact him for more info on that front. :clap: way to be a role model roy, you're an inspiration to us all.

Marcus thank you for understanding what we are about. We just really like ice fishing and in no way is the "club" part of our name meant to discriminate it just refers to the fact that we are a group. We do try to bring positive and exciting energy to ice fishing and are excited to be a part of this excellent forum with it's many great members. We look to excel and to also share our experiences and knowledge with others. Keep up the great work we will see you on the ice!

HEY GUYS!!!! First time checking in for a while. How about an update on the BBC?! I know you've all been concerned due to the lack of updates. Don't you worry, we're all doing great, catching some fish, and overall having a great time this summer.
Raquette: thanks for the tip, I'll be starting up a BBC thread up on that site and we should have some sweet new video once we edit up some footage we took this weekend.
That ice fishing video was one of our first outing and we are addicted so you guys will have a healthy dose of BBC news and action come ice season. I know some of you are interested in our classes that we will be teaching all around the adirondacks when the ice comes just drop me a line (HAHA get it?! Line? Pun INTENDED!!!) and we can try to meet up and have a blast, unless you're a hater, then just keep on hating. BUT, that's months away.
In the mean time we've been fishing it up all over our general area like brant lake, hudson river, lake george, etc.

Friends, family, haters,
The moment you have all been waiting for is finally here..... The official BBC blog is up and running. You read that right, there is a BBC blog, and it is up... and running. This is not some kind of cruel joke, your dreams/ wishes/ prayers have been answered. I know that while reading this good news over and over you are probably trembling with excitement so I'll provide you with a link so we can minimize frustration levels of trying to type on little keys while over excited.
A few of the boyz just went to Salmon River this past weekend and caught a few monster salmon with lots of pictures and and great video.
So the idea behind this blog is to catalog our various adventures and share the vast stores of knowledge we have attained over the years. We aren't rich, we don't have fancy gadgets, all we have are lures and fishing poles and occasionally access to a boat. The idea is to give information from our experiences to try and help out others to catch some fish, all while documenting the trips and the shenanagins that go along with them.

Alright fellas, the ice season is almost upon us. I know you guys are just as excited as we are here to get some ice and catch some fish.
It is my honor to be able to announce a change here at the BBC, we have officially changed our name to the AAC, the Adirondack Anglers Club. I know some hard core fans have already sent the hate mail but Billionaire Boys Club is not only not descriptive of us, it's a stupid name for a club based around having a great time in the great outdoors.

Thanks for the heads up on piseco, Roy. With any luck you're wrong but last year it didn't freeze too well. We've got our fingers crosses for some cold weather up there, either way there's a few lakes around that area so hopefully if Piseco isn't fishable we'll find something that is!
Spot on, bigred, this time of year the cooler's there to keep the beer warm.. or at least not frozen.
Hopefully we'll be out this weekend we just have to find some of that scarce ice.

Well boys, the time has come: the ice is here and the fish are hungry. The newly minted AAC has officially made our first trek into the great white north and found us some hard water and hungry fish. We had some luck but there were a lot of people out there and one group was having a lot more luck than we were. We landed a small pike and a decent sized largemouth. Had some below average tip up action but missed out on most of the tips that kicked.
We'll be headed to the, hopefully frozen, Piseco lake this weekend for a few days. Stay tuned to the blog and the shanty to get the 411 on AAC and our awesome adventures. If anyone's going to be in that region this weekend give us a holler.

IT'S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN!! That's right, a year ago around this time was the first time any of you sorry sods heard about the phenomenon that was the BBC (and is now the AAC). Well, ladies, here it is, the one year anniversary of the boyz heading up to Piseco lake and fishing that hard water like it's going out of style.
We'll be up there for a few days and you can expect some sweet blog posts, awesome pictures, and seductive video footage. If any of you guys want to meet up with us we'll be around the south end of Piseco on Saturday. Depending on how we do we might bounce around to the other lakes in the region. I hearddd that we are piseco bound yet again time for hockey, fishing, and beer chicken. If you are in the area give us a hooty hoot! All day every day all I do is fish.

We're back a little early from our trip due to one of the boys' inability to ice skate, we won't name any names but manbearpig know's it's him (wait, wait, wait, isn't that you? yes... yes it is). Despite decent conditions and a great plan of action for today and tomorrow we only managed to get one solid day of fishing in on Saturday but it was a great day, windy, but a good time.
While we were setting up our tips we had a couple hits before we had them all set up. We hauled in couple lakers (aka togue), feel free to check out the blog, there's some pictures and video up on there. Let us know what you think.
For those confused by the conflicting posts about the status of the ice, we were at the very southernmost bay, that area had some pretty solid ice. We had upward of 7" inches in places but also around 3" in others so the ice thickness varied but it was all frozen and we had a guy out there on a snowmobile. I'm not sure about the other places on the lake since we didn't manage to get too far outside of our bay.

A.A.C had a great day on the ice yesterday down in the Catskill region check out the blog @ http://www.aacfishing.blogspot.com. We had flags all day but the crown jewel of the trip was a big channel cat we caught right at the end watch the video on the blog and stay tuned for more pics and vids when we go out this weekend!

The team was out on the ice again yesterday, after a couple mishaps in the travel plans coughharpooncoughcough we made it to Schroon. We got some decent sized suckers and were going for monster pike. The lake slapped us in the face and said no pike for you...
Luckily it was a beautiful day BUT after drilling the second hole our auger had decided it had enough for the day. Some quick thinking had us get some duct tape and tape that mother back together, she (the auger) survived the trip but is now in timeout until we can fix 'er up.
After battling with the auger and setting everything up we were well behind schedule. But with the sun and lack of wind it wasn't a bad day to be out on the ice. Someone forgot the booze so we just sat around and jigged with no luck, aside from some little bugger stealing a couple dead minnows. We had all but given up hope when the farthest flag took flight and a tear came to my eye.
Took all day but in the final hour we caught a good sized laker and a small pickerel. There's video on the blog and here's a couple pics:

For those of you who have been under a rock or been in some similar situation today was quite warm. We had decided last week we wanted to get out this week during normal business hours but with the odd weather we weren't sure where, a few ideas bounced around and we landed on saratoga due to the solid ice and our perceived knowledge on fishing the lake.
We were wrong... quite wrong... on the fishing at least. The ice was very solid despite lots of water running all over the place. We got out early and stayed until it started getting dark. The targeted species was pike however none were in the area, at least as far as we were concerned. We did catch a few perch but nothing noteworthy.
All in all a pretty wet, warm, and unsuccessful day. We'll have our revenge this weekend when we go to Paradox.
And for all you nervous nellies wondering where the pictures of sled 2.0's maiden voyage are, fear not, for you have missed nothing. Good ol' 2.0 was safe at home during those watery hours because she recently put on a few pounds and could not fit into our chosen adventure-mobile. Her, now-rescheduled, maiden voyage should be this Saturday if everything goes according to plan.

The boyz were out on the ice again this weekend. We went up to paradox on Saturday with visions of monster pike dancing in our heads. Despite an early arrival and some quick action in the first hour and the rest of the day was full of flags and evidence of more toothy critters hitting the baits but we couldn't seem to hook any others and wrangle them above the ice.
We caught a 22" pike early on and a decent sized perch pretty soon after. Sled 2.0 performed flawlessly, as expected. Here she is all loaded up:

The A.A.C caught the matinee fishing of the togue on Lake George yesterday and what a showing it was. We had just started to put the traps in when we got 2 flags right away. One fish spit the hook and the other one broke the line. After that early heartbreak we had nothing but success the rest of the time was spent running back and forth from flag to flag. We managed to ice 4 good size lakers the biggest was pushing 25 inches. The bite on the king was red hot and was by far the best action we've had all year. The AAC had a valentines day date with Lake George and some nice lakers. We spent the day out on the ice and, after breaking off the first fish of the day, we landed 6 good sized lakers the smallest at 22" and the largest 26" and 5lbs.
We got into the best action of the year so far and if you were out there and heard a lot of hootin' and hollerin' that was probably us running from flag to flag.
It was a beautiful day of non-stop action and sun.

In what may be one of the last ice fishing weekends of the year the AAC got out to lake george once again to the glory hole and had a great day catching lakers and perch.
Check out the blog for a video and little summary. The video might contain something very few, if any, of you have ever seen before. I won't ruin the surprise, but it's at 0:16 in the video and it's not something many people do twice.
We're going to try to get out one more time this next weekend. After that, barring some crazy weather change, we'll be trying to find some open water.

We are back and ready to go for the ice season. Sunday was our scouting trip for early ice. Eagle Lake had about 4" of ice in the bay right off the state boat launch most of the other small bodies of water in the area had ice on them as well. The east end of Paradox appeared to be completely iced over but we didn't get a chance to check it with the spud. Combsey it would be our pleasure to meet up just let us know when and where.

A few of the boys have tried to keep our loyal followers updated throughout the spring, summer, and fall of our fishing adventures. It's been a decent year from togue in the spring to salmon in the fall but , alas, we're itchin' to get back out on the ice. Last year had it's fair share of victory and heartbreak but we've been conditioning throughout the warmer months to get ready for ice season.
Condition how? I hear some of you asking. Fret not, baby birds, for momma is here to feed you. Between hitting the weights to pull those double digit pike up through the ice to subjecting ourselves to freezing showers in order to condition our bodies to endure the frigid temperatures of the frozen tundra our bodies are fine tuned ice fishing machines. Our minds have also been impregnated with ancient indian wisdom in the art of seducing the elusive salmon with nothing more than a jig head. The fish stand no chance for once the water becomes cold and hard the Boyz will return and show no mercy...

The pike was a long time coming. I'm not sure if it's easily discernible from our posts from the past year but we've been trying to get a big pike for the past year, it started out as a goal during last year's ice season and we had a big one break off on Lake George and since then we've spent a considerable amount of this year's fishing time on trying to land a decent sized pike and it's become a bit of an unhealthy obsession. We've forgone lots of different opportunities to catch various other types of fish and, if memory serves, we caught a grand total of 0 pike during the warm water fishing season which has, of course, only made the thirst grow stronger.
That 31" is our largest pike to date but it's really not anything special, it was nice to get but it acted as seawater: it quenched our thirst temporarily before coming on stronger than ever. Unfortunately we had a technological malfunction and the camera decided to delete the footage we recorded of the catch but it was exciting and, since it came early in the day, had us thinking we were in for a great day (which we were). We've heard about good pike fishing at the Great Sacandaga with the state record and all and we know there are big ones in George so those two are definitely on the schedule.
We had plans to go to George this weekend for lakers but with the weirdly warm and rainy weather and the iffy reports of ice we decided to play it safe and we went to a private pond for some laid back fishing. Last year we caught a big catfish at this pond and there is a legend of a couple tiger musky in there but today we only managed a few bass and blue gills.
The pictures aren't up yet but a blog post will be up soon but it was more of a relax and cook up some delicious ice cuisine day than a hardcore fishing day. In the next couple of weeks we're aiming to hit Great Sacandaga and Piseco for our slightly delayed yearly trip. As always check out the blog and we'd love to meet up with anyone who wants to have a good time and catch some fish.

Piseco Lake did indeed feel our wrath and we sure felt it's wrath. It was a very cold weekend but we managed a good number of good looking albeit small lakers and a couple perch. The lakers were small and everyone we talked to had similar luck size wise, but we did manage good numbers. The perch were an interesting surprise as we had no idea there were perch in there but I can guarantee you that there are, or at least were, 2. Check out the blog for pics and the video. The boys headed up to Maine this past weekend to show another state how to really ice fish. We rented a cabin and had a couple days out on the ice. I think the total was 15 togue and 8 cusk. We love pike fishing in Tupper you're spot on about the pike fishing we have had some good action! Hopefully we will be able to attend the tournament but we may be in Maine at that time. I've seen the photos and videos and it looks like people really do well.

The NYS Winter Classic is a new statewide event we are running this year, that includes all waterways (ice, open water, rivers, etc.), running from Jan. 1st through Feb. 22nd. 7 species of fish, 29 weigh-in stations across the state, paying down top 5 to start and up to 20 places depending on the number of anglers signed up. Registration is only $25, and $10 additional for the Lunker Pool (top 3 in each category). Check it out at: www.NYSwinterclassic.c om

Alright, fellas, manbearpig has left the great white north and it appears my fellow compatriots have failed to keep our devoted fans updated for about a year. I did manage to make it back for the very, very first ice of 2016 and we caught a few decent pike, one with really cool markings, and a bass on Adirondack lake http://aacfishing.blogspot.com/2016/01/ice-fishing-report-182016.html (http://aacfishing.blogspot.com/2016/01/ice-fishing-report-182016.html) that's the link if you're interested. The blog is looking good and has lots of good info and updates.
