If you already have it, give it a shot. Buy some chains for the back end.
Growing up in SE michigan I saw a lot of honda 3 wheelers successfully used on the ice pulling some pretty big shantys.

I used to run mine in 2wd all the time, good chains are key.

I much prefer 4WD, but if you get a set of chains, 2WD should get you where you need to go in most cases.

I totally agree with the others. Throw a set of chains on and you may be pleasantly surprised.

While a 4x4 makes it nice like has been stated a 2wd with chains will do surprisingly well. I have both and pull a fully loaded Clam Yukon which is not lite. If you have it by all means run it.

Two wheel drive will work. Two years ago on Lake Erie we had a snow storm and lost the trail. We drove through 18" of slush for 3 miles. We got stuck A LOT but, my buddy did just as good with a chained up 2WD artic cat as I did with my 4X4 Arctic Cat.

If it's bare ice or not a lot of snow, no problem. Deep snow, problem. We had the yamaha blaster out on the ice last year with studs in the tires. It was, literally, a blast!
