Eye dropper vs. Swedish pimple vs. Hali
Which do you prefer? I've been using a tear dropper like the one in the picture but chartruse with a fake red/black beetle and it's been working pretty well. i have all three that i pictured (the hali has the chain hook set). thanks!
-
I prefer the hali. I think the reason is that when the bite is on you can't get to them quicker with anything else.

Another vote for the Hali; though haven't tried the Eye Dropper. The Hali has the quick drop, good feel thing going; plus the Pimple is shown to a lot more fish on most lakes that I fish. Sometimes fishing a lure the fish haven't seen pays off.

Here's another vote for Hali's. They are the best bait for perch. Tip them with maggots and they are dynamite I have never gone out and not caught perch on a hali.
-
great, thanks for the hali votes. ill def try it this weekend!!
-
I picked up a couple of Hali's after reading the reviews on the board. I had the green one on just like the one pictured in your post, and the perch killed it. We had a pretty decent day, with 5 real decent size keepers for dinner, threw back a few micros. I really like the feel of the hali jig over the dropper or pimple.

Hmm...
What do you think I'm going to vote for?
-
Hmm...
What do you think I'm going to vote for?
swedish pimple? lol
-
I'm gunna get slack for this but my vote would be the swedish pimple then the hali.
**DUcks for cover** :P

I don't like pimples ;D but just trie hali's for the first time last week. I caught quite a bit but seemed to miss more bites than with a tear drop. I switched back to a tear drop and definitely seemed to hook more fish when they bit. The hali's were good thought for getting the perch to bite when the fishing was slow.

The Hali gets my vote! I have been ice fishing for many years and have
always caught lots of perch on a pimple and a chartruse spoon. But this
year I started using a Hali and have caught tons of perch with it. It is
an excellent lure when they are biting lightly or not much at all. I can
always coax a few to hit. My $.02.
-
None of the above.
A Kastmaster with a Hali chain outfishes a Hali for me about every time.w_w.
-
i use all of them, what i do is change my lure till i find what the fish want.
then stay with that one till the fish stop hitting, then change till find what
the fish are into ,i change lures about 15mins till i find the right one,
this works for me and LOTS OF HOLES
RAT ;D ;D ;D

I'm going to have to vote for Hali's!
-
tried the hali and eye dropper this weekend for a little bit - nothing on the hali but a 1 lb bass and sunfish on the eye dropper
-
You need to feel the hali-love, man. 8) :o
-
I gotta vote for Hali's-tried them this year for the first time and they outcaught anything in my tacklebox most of the time-tipped with an eye. ;D
-
I have used the Eye droppers and I now Swear by them. I have caught pike ??? nice perch, and many eyes on them. I got 4 more this morning. They are a hot item to try out.
-
I am not formilar with the Hali, is it short for something? What is the difference between a Hali and a Nils Master Jig?
-
Chalk up another vote for the eye dropper. I love them, I use perch coloured with glow backs. excellent action
-
MN - they are one and the same - Nils Master Hali is the full name :-)
-
i like the hali as well it was the only thing that worked for me last year on big winnie
-
I actually like all 3, I use the Hali most often, then the pimple, I tip them with a waxi/mousy or spike.
-
For me it depends on the lake! On one lake you can't beat the "silver swedish pimple" and then on another lake its the "perch Hali"!
-
sorry guys, pimple fan here. one of my fav. lines "pimplin ain't easy" :P
different strokes for different folks
-
I'd have to vote for the pimple. ;)
