There are no "majic" answers, lures, or methods that get them everytime. I suggest you read thru the many posts here. Pick up on the gist of success patterns mentioned. Then look to ways to apply them where you fish. Sometimes they'll work and sometimes they won't. Just got keep at it trying various pieces of the puzzle (location, time, lure, presentation, etc.). One of the biggest keys to success that I would suggest to anyone getting started is to invest in a quality icefishing sonar to help you "see" what's going on down there as you work your baits.
But the biggest element is time spent fishing and trying new things (not just always doing whatever and whereever everyone else is). You can't replace experience that you earn on the ice by playing around on the computer. Good luck and go often.
