Awesome!  :o  How much ice on the pond? And what is the shore looking like heading out of Dorchester to get to the pond? Maybe I'll try to head up this weekend. Thanks for the info!!  ;D

I only went out about 50 yds with my spud but getting on was easy at the main parking area. I just stopped in quick to see if it was good and was convinced that it was. There had to be a good 6". As I said, be cautious and bring a spud as the ice thickness can vary this time of year. Shore was locked up where I got on.

1 3/4"-2" tonight near the pond area. Don't know about the rest of the lake, but I would just go elsewhere if I were you. Didn't feel very safe out there. No bites, just lookers  ::)

Stopped by park today. Talked to a couple of guys just coming off ice. They said around 9" of ice but lots of water on top. No fun dragging either.  >:(

Wondering if 4WD vehicles have tried Kiebel RD since the snow/rain/snowmobile traffic

Its always rough.......we got a lot of rain, so i would bet the snow is packed down.  use caution like any other off road excursion....

I think it will mostly depend on if the water/ packed snow turned to straight up ice or not

A friend just walked out from dorcester, he did not drill a hole, Ice is solid on top, not sure how much ice though, I'd be careful around the current, had to have undermined some ice.

I drove out to last house. The unplowed road was all rutted up and looked pretty icy. I don't think I'm taking my SUV out there. Did see a couple of shelters out on that side about quarter mile up so someone drove out there.

There were vehicles driving out the road throughout the day on Saturday.  The slushy crap from the rain froze up fast.  Lots of ice on the pond and out to 22 FOW.

Anyone making plans for Friday?  I'm thinking of taking a vacation day and starting the weekend early.
