Are under water lights legal ?

Was wondering if it's legal to use under water light's for ice fishing in michigan ?
And if so does anyone think it would help attract fish ?

I looked in the dnr handbook before posting the question. It's not posted under the unlawful activities or any where else i looked...

I do not see anywhere in the guide where it states one way or another. Unless I am missing some alternative use of the lights, I can not see why it wouldnt be legal, since you can have a lighted underwater camera :)

As far as I know its legal , Ive tried it a few times for open water fishing but I didnt see any positive results.
