I'm at Bass Pro and they have their ice gear out!  I have my pic of the jigs this year

I got the shanties out (2) and made it through the year (so far) with no rodent friends. Put my auger battery on charge and got my other gear organized. Too early for me to bow hunt, and certainly not watching any football games.

Starting to see a few things here in West MI but most of it appears to be last years left overs/clearance items that were at the top of the stack from last spring.  Not even sure how much I actually need this year as I was able to take advantage of some stellar deals this year with the whole MC sports/gander closing.

Stopped in at the Grandville, MI Cabelas yesterday (10/17/17) to pick up a ship to store order....they have all their 2018 ice electronics out, and it looks like they were clearing a tackle aisle in prep for ice tackle.  Did not see and shanty's/sleds/augers etc. out yet. FYI

Amos and I are going to Franks Shanty Days tomorrow try be there when it opens and then go to the big tackle store (can't remember their name) just north of Franks after. Hope to run it to some of you were not hard to spot tall guy always waiting for short fat guy with bad limp
