What is everyone's thoughts on the Kdrill? I am looking at getting the 8" version. I have a Dewalt 20V brushless to power it with 6Ah batteries. Just looking for personal experiences.

I have the Clam conversion plate, that works great. The clam conversion plate I got on sale last year for 60.00 dollars. I will never go back to a gas auger again. I like the clam for mainly to reasons over the kdrill. One your hand grip when operating it. Two you can sit the clam down anywhere and the drill never makes contact with the surface.

I think it looks cooler, and seems to cut pretty good, light weight ..
Depending on what/where you fish, you might prefer a Mora for 1/5 the price, and less weight, easy to find blades..

I have been using a 6" K-Drill for 3 years, Seeings how I already had a Milwaukee M-18 drill, once I had the drill in hand sold the gas drill for more than I had invested in the drill. What I like about it is I can open the 6" hole to 10" without the bit skipping into the first hole. Have purchased extra batteries when on sale, and have never looked back.

Thanks IFF! That was the info I was looking for. I will get mine ordered up and wait for Mother Nature to quit having hot flashes!
Praying for a hard winter! Tight lines!

Alright, I have not pulled the trigger on the Kdrill yet. I have read a lot and it seems that a lot of people have the 6" and not the 8". I'm curious for those who have used both which they prefer. I fish for pike, walleye, perch and panfish. I thought the 8" would suite me the best. Any thoughts.

My 6" kdrill just came in last night - I went with the 6" over the 8" for a couple reasons.
-I mainly panfish
-I have yet to catch a walleye or pike that won't fit through a 6" hole
-My buddy fishes for lake trout and salmon with a 6" auger no problem
-Longer battery life on the drill.
-Can always drill two holes next to each other if absolutely necessary.
-$50 cheaper.
