I've been fishing Lake Erie for a long time, and I've never seen a perch with this many stripes before. I count 10 stripes and according to biologist information, 6-8 stripes is the norm. Just wondering if anyone else has ever seen this many stripes. (http://www.sharemation.com/wisherman/New%20Folder/Perch10stripes2.jpg)

Nice perch -- I think as the size gets bigger --the stripes increase

To Emptyhanded,
I've been looking at pictures of some pretty big perch elsewhere on this site, and still only count 6 to 8 stripes. So not sure if size matters ;D
P.S. This fish was caught within 10 miles of a nuclear energy plant. <(*}}}}}}}>{ :o

Had to be a female, fish had 10 stripes. My wife has 30 pairs of shoes. Do you think that there might be a connection?

I hope you're happy! Now I will be counting the stripes on my perch as well as the number of shoes in my wife's closet! :P
