Goodbye Hillside

Sad to say that hillside bait has closed their doors for good. I can imagine how many people on this forum have frequented that shop from the late 70s to this day. Sad to see them close.

I agree it is sad. I'll miss the smell of that place. Not sure where the closest bait shop to Webster is now. Hopefully Bobs Archery starts selling bait again. They always had good bait at a great price.

Sad to see Hillside Close. I live in Dudley and my go to is Ben’s Tackle Shack in Leicester.

I was buying bait from Joe and Chung as far back as the early seventies from their basement on Hillside Ave. Chung could be temperamental but she always kept her tanks clean and the shiners were always health. I was hoping Ziggy could make a go of it. Sad to see the shop close, not sure where to go locally now.
