3 year old nephew catches his first fish ice fishing!

My twin 3 year old nephews had never been on the ice before so they were loving it. So it goes without saying that they have never caught a fish through the ice as well. I got a video of Gavin reeling up his first fish through the ice and his brother Alex having a great reaction.

Very nice ,I took my nephew once when he was five or six and did the same thing let him reel in the fish after I set the hook. He is thirteen already and more into soccer then fishing. Enjoy your time with your nephews the years go by fast.

Do you live in MN?? I think that's the only state that they are illegal (double check the regs though). When I lived there I never understood why they were illegal, I think it's a better than leaving a tipup out which often ends in a throat hooked fish.

Yeah, Fishinaround I would check your regs or ask on your local forum. To my understanding the only state that had them as illegal was MN. I have another video on my channel of my very first fish on the Jaw Jacker and it was a pretty decent Pike and it was hooked perfectly in the corner of the mouth. The majority of the trout I've been catching on them out here have been right in the roof of the mouth.
