depth levels

say im fishing a bay and its 10 ft that's it the entire bay besides 2 spots that are 15 ft where in the water column do big pike hand mid low or high???? i have no clue and would like to learn more and how do u find how thick the weed bed is?

Try putting your bait about a foot off bottom and if that doesnt work then keep changing your depth and see what depth they like in that particular body of water.

X2 start a foot off the bottom and work your way up to below the ice each lake is different.

Find the weeds boulders and channels fish the edges.There has to be a drop off to the main lake???If there is a river coming in hit that bay late March fish will be getting ready to spawn.2' off the bottom in 2'-15' of water, @15' bring bait up more.Use a sounder try moving it back & fourth drop it down ,do the same you should be able to tell where the top of the weedbeds are.
