Title: chum cans?

I have heard of guys making a chum can from a soup can. anyone made one/ How's it done?  thx

soup can with top removed; drill hole in bottom and insert a cord (with a knot on the inside to hold the can upside down) to allow it to be lowered it to near the bottom  directly under your hole; fill the can with choice of chum (chopped sucker, etc); cover open top with 2-3 layers of dry newspaper and secure with rubber bands;  lower can to just above the bottom and wait until the newspaper is soaked; jerk the cord to break the newspaper and release the chum. (check local regs to make sure chumming is legal)
