Went up to Northern Illinois for some pike action that we have been waiting for. got there around 5am and left around 11:00am with 4 pike. I caught the biggest one which was around 30-32 inches. we were using medium and large golden roaches, the larger golden roaches worked better than the medium ones. we tried to get our tip ups around weed edges and/or on top of the weed edges, where the pike roam in the harbor and look for bluegill and perch. a foot and a half off the bottom was key.
