been pounding them in the boat in there winter haunts. for 2 weeks now

that spot lock on mini is wonderful. got get them before all the ice fisherman do

Here's a pic of todays catch. In 4 hours we caught 44 perch. Now the work begins. The good thing about Deer Creek is it's culinary water for Salt Lake so the fish taste good!!!! I don't know about you guys but this is how I like to cook Perch. It is better known as Pikeman's Perch Recipe.

4 cups Panko bread crumbs
2 tsp. Garlic salt
2 tsp. Onion Salt
2 tsp. Season salt
2 tsp. pepper
mix together in a plastic bag
in a bowl mix 2 eggs and 2 tsp green jalepeno juice.
dip wet fillet in flour then in egg mixture then in panko crumbs. Fry till golden brown on both sides.

Tarter Sauce
1 30oz jar real mayo
2 tbsp. sweet relish
1 small onion finely chopped
1 tbsp. lemon juice
mix well

I had a guy tell me a new old way to make fish paddies that I will use with the abundant gorge pup macks:
bone all out and skin the fillets. Get a medium size blender or use the wifes old blender and buy her a new one for a good public relations gesture. Wherrr the fish fillets and add bread crumbs, eggs and your favorite spices wherrr some more. Fry in real butter, serve with 1/2 cup of catsup. I priced a low priced blender at wally world for $20. I can't wait to catch a fish and try it out. Oops, bone appitte

That's right Dewey we are going to go back in the morning and tear some more Perch up. I forgot to mention in my last post we cook the fish in coconut oil. Not just any coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil. If you was to cook French fries in this coconut oil you would never eat it any other way. And coconut oil is good for you. Them pup Makinaw patties sounds good we will have to try it. In fact we will have to break down and go to the gorge and indulge in some of them. We are less than a month away for ice fishing here. We start out the season by pounding the tiger trout. You will have to give me a holler when you are ready to pound some of these Perch. Chat at ya Later. Tight Lines.

I always try to score a perch spot like this. But in Alberta they are few and far between so everyone keeps them top secret. I wish I had a spot. Me and my kids are hungry lol
