I just called Newport VT. (MY home away from home) There is 5" of ice on south bay. South bay is a shallow bay on the south end of lake memphramegog. I have had good luck on Salem lake too, wich is about 5 mi. away.
At the right time and place in this area anyone who knows anything about ice fishing could limit out on perch in less than a hour. First ice is hit or miss, but last ice is hammerdown. Megog has all warm water and cold water species, exept for crappies.
