Fished 4:30-6 this evening. One keeper eye for me. I sucked lol. They were there I just couldn’t get it done. My buddy that was with me did much better. Travel was nice on the sled. Be careful if your out. The glare ice with snow on it it slick! My 79 year old fishin buddy went down pretty hard. Took it like a champ though.

Moral of the story that old Perky schooled you, even though he could barely walk.

Hey guys could anyone give me a little help a good color maybe the best size rap or maybe raps aren’t a good idea not sure walked out from Lewis this morning marking a ton of fish but I must suck tried every thing I think

My son and I have been marking them pretty good on and off all morning. The perch and eyes we have caught so far have been on size 5 blue/chrome jigging rap. He’s using a minnow head and all my fish have been Without bait on the rap. Good luck!

The other day I got them on 3 raps and spoons , dots with spikes for some , I tip everything unless they are hot
All you can do is try different things with different presentations

Thanks guys just realized that I suck on Oneida for sure mark a bunch just can’t get them to commit. Man this is frustrating as all heck to Mark so many fish and not get them

There’s always a lot of sheepshead swimming around LP like zombies too. That can be very frustrating because you can’t be sure what they are without a camera.

If they’re chasing they’re probably eyes or perch though.

Got another slaunch this morning. This one 25" and just as round as the 26 I got earlier this season. Fish are real healthy this year!

Slow day at Chapman’s today so far. 5 perch no eyes. Looking to try on the north shore tomorrow. Wondering if sleds are getting out near Godfrey yet?

crapieslammer I feel your pain. Onieda Lake hates me 2 1/2 hour ride for me , every time I come up the fish don't bite , the wind blows , it rains, the ice is NO GOOD 3 feet of snow, on & on I want so bad to catch some eyes thru the ice and it just does not happen congrats to all who due well there , I just suck at it
I had thought about coming up tomorrow, but it sounds like you guys got some snow and with the warm temps coming I expect it will be nasty walking good luck all

You don’t suck... you just need to put in time... nobody goes out and slams them everyday, it just doesn’t happen

I really have T, I would just like to slam them ONCE I've done well in summer , but I know that's a different ball game probably need to learn more about the lake and it's structure

I did that once, Perky circled me 3 times on his sled before I waved at him to come here. Ever since then I have been "The Snake", Your an effin Snake Timmy, fishing right in my damn hole.

I admit I totally did it to get the old man, he got me good on Big bay once, that is another funny story.
