Went out twice this week, were great trips.  Caught some fantastic bows and char, will post pics later.  But for the ice, it is getting thick.  The lakes around Willow all have 8 inches give or take a bit.  And all the lakes in the valley seem to have over 5 inches.   I checked out Big lake Yesterday and saw where someone had plowed on the north end.  I bet by next week most lakes will have 10 plus inches.  Tight lines
Fishing is not about life or death, it is much more important than that! And all I have to say is FISH ON baby.

Hey gang, anyone been out over the weekend?  Was thinking of heading out tues/wens on my regular weekend, just curiuos how thick and what kind of ice we have so far, good, bad or just so so?  Kind of leary with the snow we've got over what little ice I think we have.

I hit three lakes this weekend....Lower Fire Lake 8 inches, Klunie Lake 9 inches, Finger Lake 8 inches.

I bet for a while.  It is to be super duper cold in Alaska all this week.  This cold air has to head south eventually.

Bring on the ice!!!!!!!  <br />

Slipper Lake near Sutton had 10" yesterday afternoon.  I only fished for about an hour and a half.  Wind was blowing me around a bit.  Caught one nice 16" rainbow.

Went to a lake south of here and there was 6 inches toward the middle. Hey there Dan,             Scott

Dan,
Sounds like it'll be fun. Got the shanty ready and the flasher too. Bought the otter magnum lodge. Hope it is a good one. Hey have you seen those Eskimo Quick Fish 111. Got them in yesterday. They look like they would work pretty well. Set it up in seconds and it is big. If I hadn't bought the other thing I would have bought it. Well have a great day. See you around...Scott
