The only time i use a bobber is when i am using minnows for crappie. never tried spring bobbers, just a very sensitive rod.

You know, there are times in my hut that i like to use a floating bobber on the other rod and jig with the primary. Nothing is more exciting than watching that bobber slowly pull under the ice. Of course that is usually accompanied by a tap on my jigging pole which I immediately slam set the hook on only to watch my bobber pole go shooting down under cause the lil ******* took both my baits in his mouth.
An honest mans' pillow is his peace of mind.

Like the time myself and Rico were fishing in my shanty and both got a bite at the same time and then Rico's second pole started going nuts, in the end that fish didn't have a chance, 2 in the mouth and 1 in the *ss.
