Valentine Refuge Ice Conditions

Looking for updates on current ice conditions following the cold weather ending the year.

Looking for updates on current ice conditions following the cold weather ending the year.

Fished the refuge this past weekend and the ice varies greatly between lakes and even on the same lakes.
It goes from small patches of open water, to large patches of smooth dark ice that was only about an inch thick to mostly 4 to 6 inches of solid ice.
If you watch where you go, use a spud bar and the nights cool off you should be fine.
IF YOU DON'T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY AND BE CAREFUL THERE COULD BE A GOOD CHANCE OF FALLING THROUGH THE ICE.
