Using laker jigs for cats

I think a 3 inch laker jig tipped with a small, stinky minnow would hammer the cats as it does the lakers. I am going to try this saturday, I will post my results.

if anybody from michigan will help me out with the lakes and stuff up here I'd really appreciate it since I'm new to the area.
