Who's around this year?  I noticed we lost Kodiakman to NE and the Ro0ster is crowing.  Who's headed out this coming weekend?

I'm heading out but out of the area this weekend.  Going to the river.  I don't do much of the trout thing.  Stick to the 'eyes mainly.

Ice sounds not too good at KH.  Only a couple inches not far from shore.  Don't know about Orman.  Waiting till next weekend, traveling to find ice elsewhere this weekend.

Guess I was wrong about the ice thickness on prairie lakes. Checked our dams in central Meade county yesterday and we've got 8" of clear ice. Hopefully I will make it out tomorrow. Report to follow.

Traxion... hit keyhole yesterday afternoon check it out... ... ice was 3" near shore and maybe 2.5" 30-40' from shore. fished 15-20fow with good results on crappie and 'eyes. no live bait either.

Gambler, I saw that report.  Glad to see you got into some fish.  For me, 4" is minimum LOL.  Not worth it until it gets thicker.

I fished Pollock area Sat., very slow, one fish.  Fished N of Mobridge on Sun. AM, nothing.  Shad are too thick, fish are there but not biting.  There was rumor of a decent bite south, but from what I understand everyone and their mother went down on Sun. and didn't do well at all.  Looks like it could be a repeat of 2 years ago, fishing sucked with all the shad around.

Im still around. Won't be fishing as much this year though. Went back to trucking this last year. Going out to Sheridan Lake in the morning. Good luck this year, will keep everyone posted on catches.

Not enough ice or time... not necessarily in that order.
