As the season ends
« on: Apr 17, 2023, 10:33 PM »
Hoping all had a descent season, at least better than mine. This is the first time in 40+ years that I did not make it out onto the ice. Two positives though are in line for next year 1) a better year on the ice and 2) my fish  "will be bigger than your fish" Happy summer everyone, be safe and have a great summer so that I can kick your rear for next year. Damn I missed fishing this year.
May your tip-up spool while your flag raises with hopes of landing the big one.

I feel your pain.I too missed out this season. No first ice,no last ice,no dropping items through the hole,no getting stuck in the snow,no freezing fingers,no new PB,no new honey holes found,no new lakes tried,no expensive bait dead or frozen ,no broken rods,no money spent on shiny new jigs,no batteries to charge,no blades to dull,no lost gear, paid for my girl friends annual license that didn't get used, could hardly find a fish report,no falling on glare ice,no heart pounding when going through slush over 40 feet of water,no quality time spent with the local CO.Man, it was terrible.Tight lines next winter!!
