Thank you Freddy. Nice to know about their transparency .
Start each day with the exuberance of a 10 year old . Do not allow those around you to diminish that exuberance.

The leak involved a substantial amount of Tritium contaminated water that leaked from a Nuclear Power Plant in Minnesota. Tritium also known as hydrogen-3 is a rare and radioactive isotope of hydrogen with a half-life of about 12 years.  Tritium is naturally occurring in the environment but is also produced by nuclear power plants.  Tritium is one of the least dangerous radio nuclides because it emits very weak radiation and leaves the body relatively quick. From the article, it sound like the leaks were contained on site with no contamination of ground water. This is nothing compared to the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan. Sounds scary because it involves a Nuclear Power Plant.

They probably did not want to unnecessarily alarm the public just like our government did at the start of the Covid-19 issue. I am sure if they made it public some people would panic because the leak was at a Nuclear Power Plant. We are bombarded by radiation every day but that does not kill us, we do not even bat an eyelash about it. If we told the public the sun was sending harmful particles at us every day some would over react.  I see more environmental damage and fish killed in the US by a manure pits than nuclear power plants.

Not a manure spill, but latex paint additive spill in the Delaware River near Philadelphia. Probably enough crap in that river already so they didn't need any more manure.
