Looks excellent Joe. Well done.
Thanks Wane, and everyone else that has contributed to this thread, this shows that good can come from bad.,society has gone off the rails,  yes Frank is my friend,  I.met him.here  he is a stand up guy with old school. Values.,I admire him for that,  I've met a few stand up guys(and gal) here  with the same values,  you guys(and gal)know who you are,I'm a very private person,  but tend to open myself up a little here because we all share a common bond..
Again thanks  for playing. Hopefully our comrade gets released from time out soon..

Its past my bed time. The 3 am alarm will call soon enough, I've got a mission, the boss.lady wants white perch tacos for Sunday dinner. .
I'm heading to an old huant that's been. Good to me in
March, hopefully,  the walk isn't too miserable

I haven’t had the opportunity to meet too many folks on here in person but my dealings with most of the people here have been great. I have learned a lot from posts on here be it fishing technique, builds or occasionally even what not to do. It’s a cool amalgamation of people from different backgrounds and philosophies with a strong common interest. Makes it fun. The people I have gotten the opportunity to fish with are incredible and I’m glad to call them friends. I hope to fish with more of you.
Roc, your threads have been really informative and saved me a lot of trial and error this year. Thank you. Good luck with the whites this weekend.
Perhaps I should not have been a fisherman, he thought. But that was the thing that I was born for.

Couple quick questions regarding the finish on your traps. Got the BLO part, that's on all the wood, yes? Assuming the paint part is oil based so it sticks. Can't imagine a latex wearing well over the BOL. I could be wrong on that.

My biggest curiosity if the Flexseal part. This adheres well over the BOL and holds up submerged in freezing water? Dipped, painted or sprayed? If true I may have a use for that application.
To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!

After BLO  application,  I give them 3 coats of spar urethain, then the upright gets painted
. Yes oil base .
. As for the flex se it stays pretty darn good, I found spraying g to be more economical. It wears and chafes about the same as pl sint does on the lower half, the longer it sits the tougher it seems to get,my traps have 3 seasons on  them, they will need a touch up when i.lut them away

I actually took this picture  this morning,  there are 3 seasons of wear on those.. one thing, sand no finer than 120, wipe with alcohol two or three thin coats.

Search for the legend of the pink flamingo continues.....

In my journey 3000 miles south in search of this creature, I came across Franks long lost peeps.

^^^^A proud pink parade here. I interviewed the lead, he said they march in solidarity with the Northern division.

^^^^And of course, like my buddy frank, I met the variation in captivity. Jail, if you will.
