We had several reports on the Official Nebraska Ice Map during last ice season!

What ice that accumulated on Box Butte this December (2023) was blown off after a short period.  I expect a report this week and will update the Ice Map.  But expecting "good" ice (4" + solid clear) this early during the current freeze is questionable at best.

Protected coves in a few of our Lakes are likely to be the first good ice opportunities.
