Looks like these next few days might be the last hurrah for our 2020/21 season. I was out on about 10" of ice in Iroquois County today, but there is a LOT of slush on top, and the edges are getting pretty mushy. With the forecast looking the way it does, I imagine the edges will be gone before next weekend.
All in all, it has been one of the better ice seasons in the past several years, but it's still a bummer to see it coming to an end so quickly after having such a good sustained cold spell.
