I iced Boulder Reservoir for the first time today, looking for smallmouth or a walleye.  I tried the south dam area.  Drilled a bunch of holes maybe 1/3 - 1/2 of the way down the dam.  Ice was 4-5".  Tried close to the rocks and out to 22 FOW.  Didn't mark any fish at all until the pig pictured below came in and hit a lindy slick jig with little atom wedgee tail (clown/chartreuse combo).  Had a few other marks in 22 FOW but they didn't stay long.  I was for sure I'd get some little smallies off the rocks but no luck.  I probably won't fish it again this season since there are far more productive waters around.
