Title: Best hook size for jigs?

Could anyone please tell me the best jig hook size to buy for crappie. I see a lot of #6 and #8 advertised and was concerned that they may be a little large. Thank You

Those sizes seem fine, would be more concerned on the wires thickness. Fine wire is preferable, especially with live bait. Pinch the barb and they're still plenty strong for soft mouths

I personally will not use a hook smaller than an eight...all in how you fish....fishing with bait for craps, size 6 or 4....wire hooks....
