Water temperature

Loving this weather. I know it's still really early but the water temperature near me dropped nearly 10 degrees into the low 40's in the last 24 hours. Can't help but get a little excited.

agree, always feel more confident in getting early ice after the water has been cooling off. Seemed like it took forever last season...

My blood boils like a dog in heat every year when the temperatures start dipping below freezing and I cant walk on water.  My productivity at work declines, and I just talk about what i'm going to do when the ground freezes and we get the ol' - see ya next year.  I'm looking at the temps around the lakes many of us fish, and i'm seeing single digits tonight.  -Dear God.....Please let it get cold and stay that way?
