Wondering who's hitting the ice in the Chesterville/Fayette/Mt. Vernon area, how they're biting and the conditions of the ice. I'm sure Minnehonk has been hit hard already, sketchy ice though I'm sure it is. Hopkins is probably even worse with all that current. Echo is probably weak, and I didn't hear of a single person on Big Parker this January. Mosher is filled with only junk, but maybe it's hot this year?
I live in the area and haven't been out not once this year, and was looking to get on the ice early tmrw morning. Certainly interested in cold water species, but would rather chase flags than have a slow morning with only a small brookie to speak of. Sand Pond, North, Horseshoe, Robinson in Chesterville... anything? Have a friend who's never been and it would be neat to have her watch the flags pop around us! Lots of shiners and some big ass suckers to burn anyways!
Thanks!
