UND/NDSU Trip
« on: Jan 15, 2024, 12:04 PM »
A coworker and I will be attending the UND career fair on February 5th and the NDSU career fair on February 7th.  We are hoping to hit the ice that Tuesday in between them but don't think we'll have time to run over to Devil's.  I also don't want to tow the four wheeler all the way from Montana for a day so would be looking for something we could manage on foot.  We are totally open to perch, crappie, walleye, pike, or anything else we can get to bite.

Any suggestions on a spot around Grand Forks or Fargo that I could research?

Thanks in advance.

Brewer lake would be a quick easy trip unless we start getting snow. More of a quantity lake than quality. Lots of perch, occasional decent crappie or gill.

HWeber,

Thanks for the tip on Brewer.  I will look into it.

Researching the North Dakota Game and Fish site, I was looking into South Golden Lake.  Would it be worth hitting?  Seems like it would only be an hour out of the way on our trip from Grand Forks to Fargo.

Thanks again.

I've never fished it. Did a quick search on the big ND ice page looks like maybe a better chance at some walleye there.

Thanks a ton for looking into it for me.
