Calling fish

How many of you hard core ice fishermen  have ever jigged over a hole saying " Here fishy fishy?"

Guilty. During extremely slow spells I've been known to lay prone next to an open hole, cup my hands and shout as loud as I can, "Here fishy, fishy, fishy!" That has occasionally produced action in adjacent holes. Go figger... Strange but true!
To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!

Ive found that a few good splashing will call them  in . the K- drill quiet and makes a good splashing when cleaning out slush ,ive found its easier then using the side view flashers and drilling lot more holes all over , Just run auger in hole a little longer brings them in.

I let my beer do the calling. Fish love beer too. They hear the can open and almost immediately I see them looking right up at me through the hole. I share a bait with them first, beer only if absolutely necessary.

Been doing that for over 40 years. Best part about it was when it first started dating my wife. I get her out there swearing down the holes. It accomplished two things. Help keep her moving and help keep her warm. And two we got a good laugh out of it

Not once have I called to the fish. I have a rod called “Herrree Fishy, fishy, fishy” and I ask for it by name. Sometimes I call for it even when I know it is at home.

The more you spin the electric auger in the hole the more fish come to see whats going on , then you jig them up .also the rattle jigs exceed the bite!!!

Jumping on ice scares them ! but spinning k-drill in hole brings them from all over lake. No more need for Flashers and finders.

do all augers draw in fish equally or do i need the magic of the k-drill?  asking as i currently have an offer to trade my live scope for a k-drill.  sounds like a great deal?

Any electric auger ,works no stamping no whistleing  just reel them in. theyll probaly put a law on time of auger use after hole is drilled.
