Hi all,

New to the iceshanty forum and just wanted to say hello to everyone. It’s good to be part of a local ice fishing community and get the latest insights and updates!

I am only a season and a half into ice fishing but have fished all my life. Finally have all my own gear and love getting out there. Especially with good friends.

What are some of your favorite things about ice fishing??

Welcome aboard, I like the solitude of a calm day with snow falling, the ability to fish areas not accessible without a boat, and I have more free time in the winter than I do in the summer so it is a good fit.
