Post all ice thickness reports of lakes in WI on this thread. Sadly, I have nothing to report thus far. I'm looking forward to seeing which areas in Wisconsin get ice first!

I figure that I should be able to hit the ice by next weekend. Like mentioned earlier, we should be making ice from here on out for atleast the next 10 days. I can't wait.

for the 15 day forecast it's suppost to be low 30's high 20's. when do you guys think 2-3 inches of ice will be on winnebago??

I would think,if the high temp Inst above 32 for more than two or three hours a day Winnie could be ready in 9to12 days. we can only hope.

Rhinelander area should have fishable ice on smaller lakes by Wednesday, December 9th by my observations. Larger lakes will be later by a week or two.

I think in a week - 10 days smaller ponds and backwaters should be walkable. If the cold comes as advertised!!

how about farther south, by edgerton and lake koshkonong? im about 2 miles from that lake and plan on fishing it up everyday. also, are there lakes that dont allow you to drive your truck out on?

I'm going out tomorrow on Marshmiller to check it out if not tomorrow next week forsure. I'm about a block from the north east end of Lake Wissota is just started to get ice yesterday. I don't trust Wissota until I see cars on it.

Tainter lake has about 1 inch of ice as of Saturday morning.
